To do this route, we will stop at a place to have a picnic and take a SÓCSUC picnic box for lunch in which we can taste a natural fuita juice, a salmon pancake and other tastings.
When we arrive at the Rec del Molí de l'Escala car park, we will take a path with a wooden footbridge that brings us to Platja del Rec where we can enjoy very good views. From there we will pass by different beaches. First we will reach El Mirador de les Coves by the wooden stairs and we will find some benches where we can contemplate the coastline of Empúries, l'Escala and the Bay of Roses.
Following the wooden footbridge, we will pass through the Passeig de les Dunes, a tree-lined coastal path through which pedestrians, joggers and cyclists pass.
We will reach Roca Portitxol. And just behind it we will find the emblematic Hostal d'Empúries, formerly called Vila Teresita, where the first archaeologists of the Ruínes d'Empúries site stayed.
We will pass in front of the Archaeological Site of the Ruins of Empúries until we reach the Parc de la Creueta where we will stop for lunch and take our SÓCSUC batch at one of the wooden tables in the park.
We will end the route with a visit to the medieval village of Sant Martí d'Empúries. It is worth taking a walk through its few streets, seeing La Casa Forestal and visiting the Church of St. Martí d'Empúries.
